Information News Item Equine Therapy - Indoors!

An interesting story on the BBC News Feed this week regarding some Equine Therapy indoors. A nine-year-old horse has become a surprise hit at care homes across Shropshire. Rupert is a regular visitor to residential homes across the county, where he entertains and interacts with residents. It is thought equine therapy can help to reduce stress and improve hand-eye coordination.". Have a look at the video HERE>

 Information News Item VAWK Visit

On Sunday 5th October, the Animals For Therapy team welcomed our guests from Voluntary Action Within Kent (VAWK), who as part of their Weekend Fun Club sent a group of young people with mild to moderate learning disabilities to enjoy our programme of animals and activities for the day. This time the focus was on reptiles, mammals and bushcraft. We look forward to welcoming them back again in February for another session. Danielle Harman from VAWK commented, "Thank you on behalf of all of us at VAWK. Fun was had by all and we will definitely be spreading the word to all of our other groups! Thanks for making the day so enjoyable and helping, even the staff, to conquer their fears".

Information News Item New Website Launches

After a lot of work and many months behind the scenes, the new Animals For Therapy Website was launched on Tuesday 23rd September 2014. The website has been designed to give an easy on the eye clarity and cleancut viewing experience for users, whilst maximising the key information to find easily for those who need it most. As we are breaking new ground with our innovatative and leading edge services, we are looking forward to building a whole range of articles and information in time, that will benefit the Therapy and Health sector in general for individuals, groups, parents and professionals. The website is dedicated to providing first class and professional services, but ensuring a unique and alternative range of therapy, to fit most requirements.

The launch coincides with The Animals For Therapy team appearing at the Oxleas NHS Trust Annual Members Exhibition, Meeting and Awards Ceremoney 2014.
