We run a busy office here at Animal Days Out. Its only going to get busier during 2017 and beyond. We are an ambitious and big thinking Not-For-Profit company who continue to grow and have a team of equally vibrant workers to support our business and drive it forward. This role will help us gain more efficiences and provide a layer of management to our administration head office operation. 

This position will be part-time 30 hours initially with a view to increase to a full-time role in time.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has a good all round ability to manage a busy office environment with the flexibility to adapt to a number of disciplines across the unique products, supplier and customer base we maintain, ensuring a smooth and confident operation. You will have strong communication skills and be required to liaise at a managerial level confidently and with assurance. You will be expected to manage the operational process of our staff calendar, liase with suppliers and customers and be comfortable with basic office accounts processes including billing and sales.

This role would suit a 'streetwise' experienced person who has had previous proven ability at either office management, personal assistance or supervisory levels and is comfortable in making pro-active operational decisions and working in a team, perhaps within the charity or not for profit sectors. You will be required to work with other managers in the company and provide personal assistance to the directors when required. With an effective manager on board we expect the role to grow quickly, therefore the succesful candidate will have opportunities to assist us to help develop the company further and drive it in the right direction.

Key Requirements

♦ Full drivers license and own transport required

♦ Experience in leading or managing teams in an office environment

♦ Ability to time manage

♦ Ability to support staff when dealing with operational or accounting issues

♦ Excellent customer relation skills

♦ Ability to adapt and change to the office dynamics

♦ Presentable and friendly appearance

♦ Ability to stay calm under pressure

♦ Ability to work across all areas of the business supporting the operational functions of each business vertical

Key Skills

♦ Computer and telephone function literate

♦ Microsoft Windows, Office and Excel experience required

♦ Sage Accounts or similar software experience preferred but not required

♦ Understanding Basic Accounting Processes including sales, billing and credit control required

♦ Understanding Basic Payroll functions including time sheets, calculating holiday etc preferred but not essential.

♦ Understanding of basic marketing and sales functions


♦ Part-time 4 days per week, working towards full-time employment

Deadline 17th February 2017

♦ Salary - Hourly Rates - dependent on experience

♦ Contract - Part-Time Worker - Agreed Minimum Hours

♦ Annual Leave - 28 days pro-rata

♦ Location - London and the South-East
