Event Leader - Session WorkJob Vacancies

Animal Days Out are looking for a big year during 2017 and we are starting to ramp up staffing to be ready for the expected business rush when the events season gets under way.

Our Animal Encounters, Events and Experiences are a popular choice amongst parents and families, the community, schools and businesses for a unique animal and wildlife experience. As the majority of our work occurs during the course of a weekend, this position would ideally suit someone who would be available Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year, although there will be midweek and early evening work as well at times during busy periods.

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has the confidence, personality and charisma to lead an animal encounter and ensure that our customer's are entertained, educated and expectations are met or exceeded. You will be expected to manage the whole process including all the day's logistics, picking up the animals, liaising with our customers at the venue, setting up and packing away and then returning the animals back to base. You will be working with an event support member of staff as part of a team, who will assist both with preparation, the event itself and packing away. You will also have the might of the ADO Operations team who will support the whole process up to the point of handing over before the event.

This role would suit a true people person who can present and engage with the public and people of all ages at all levels. Induction and training will be provided, as well as animal handling training. Although experience in working with animals is an advantage, we are primarily looking for someone who has a love of animals, but more importantly can present with confidence and is comfortable in managing and leading the whole process with a diverse range of potential customers. You may be working with children, young people or adults, so understanding the presentation skills and pitch for each group is necessary.

Here at ADO we think that this area of our business has even more potential to expand and are keen to encourage our event leaders to help grow and gain more customers and be rewarded accordingly.

Customer Reviews

"On behalf of us all at Foal Farm, thank you so much for coming to our Country Festival on Sunday. Once again you really were fantastic. I held a beautiful snake and stroked your white rat when I had a chance to have a look around. Please thank all your staff and volunteers, they were very informative and friendly with the public. We hope to see you again next year." - Liz from Foal Farm Rescue Centre

"Everyone was so taken with the contribution that you all made - particularly the kids and their parents - all of whom are looking forward to next year - as soon as we have some dates we will contact you as it will not be the same without ADO. All told, we believe that ADO's involvement was one of the 2 key elements in helping all the other aspects gel as well as they did - the BBQ lunch helped but having the spiders and snakes - and most importantly your brilliant staff on hand - was just wonderful. I was so glad that you were all there. ". - Craig Downes from Albany Park Baptist Church

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for helping to make our summer fete at C.A.N.E in New Eltham library building today such a success. You really added that extra special element to the event." - Sue Killick from C.A.N.E.

"Thank you so much for your professional approach to our event. When so many other companies failed to turn up because of the weather, Animal Days Out stayed right to the end. You saved our event single handedly!" - June from Friends of Fairy Hill
